With over 20 years of dedicated service to the field of education, Ms. Beverly Sace is a cornerstone of the literacy community. As the Founder and Principal of Books & Brains, she brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge in teacher training, curriculum development, and specialised literacy intervention to our learning clinic.
A Vision for Confident Learners
At the heart of Ms. Beverly’s work is a passion for the individual child. Whether she is setting up a library or providing direct 1-to-1 intervention, her goal remains the same: fostering a lifelong love for reading and writing through building confidence and reading skills. Her research-grounded approach ensures that every child—regardless of their starting point—builds the foundational skills necessary to thrive.
Global Impact in Literacy and Training
Ms. Beverly’s influence extends far beyond the classroom. She has served as a Director of Training and Curriculum and a consultant for major educational bodies across Southeast Asia, China, and beyond. Her professional highlights include:
Curriculum Design: Developing over 100 literacy guides and phonics programs, including the implementation of British literacy standards for a major kindergarten chain in Hong Kong. Led large-scale literacy projects, including classroom library setups and parent-child reading programs.
International Training: Conducted teacher training sessions in countries such as Thailand, China, Macau, Taiwan, the Philippines, and India.
Specialised Support: Specialized in supporting children with literacy difficulties, using structured and multi-sensory approaches.

Meet Mr. Tristan Stutchbury: KS2 Leader (Year 3-Year 6), Academic (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) Writing Specialist

Mr. Tristan is a highly qualified and passionate educator with over a decade of experience teaching English within primary education. As our KS2 Leader (Year 3–Year 6), he brings a unique blend of academic rigour and creative flair to the classroom.
Specialized Writing and Technical Mastery
As an Academic Writing Specialist, Mr. Tristan focuses on the essential "mechanics" of language—Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar (SPaG). He has a keen eye for teaching these technical aspects, ensuring students build a robust foundation that supports their broader reading and writing skills. His ability to demystify complex grammar rules allows students to transition from foundational literacy to advanced academic composition with ease.

Mr. Tristan has successfully guided many of his students to win creative writing awards, fostering deep self-confidence and a genuine love for storytelling. His commitment to education is a personal mission; he remains dedicated to nurturing young minds, reflecting his belief that every child has a unique story to tell.

Ms. May is a highly experienced and dedicated educator with over 15 years of expertise specializing in mathematics and numeracy for kindergarten and primary students. As our Head of Maths (EYFS/KS1/KS2), she combines advanced pedagogical knowledge with a deep passion for making mathematics accessible and enjoyable for learners aged 3 to 11.
Advanced Expertise in Mathematics and Inclusion
Ms. May’s academic credentials reflect her commitment to specialised instruction. Her qualifications enable her to design curricula that support students of all abilities, ensuring that every child—regardless of their starting point—can achieve mathematical mastery.
A Specialist in Dyscalculia and Numeracy
Recognizing that many children face unique challenges with numbers, Ms. May has pursued extensive professional development to become a Mathematics Specialist. She is currently finalizing her Level 5 certification in Dyscalculia, and AMBDA status from the British Dyslexia Association (BDA). This specialised training allows her to identify and support students with specific learning difficulties in math, utilizing structured and evidence-based interventions to build numerical fluency.

Known for her creative, hands-on teaching methods, Ms. May moves beyond rote memorization to focus on reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving. Meet Ms. Cato Au-Yeung: Maths and English Educator
Ms. Cato is an experienced and compassionate educator with seven years of expertise in English education and STEM curriculum design. Her academic background combines a rigorous scientific foundation with specialised training in literacy and numeracy, reflecting her commitment to delivering evidence-based, high-quality instruction.
Bridging STEM and Literacy
Throughout her career in North America, Ms. Cato has made significant strides as a STEM Instructor and Instructional Designer. She has collaborated with industry leaders like Microsoft and D-Wave Systems to develop innovative curricula for K–12 students. Her extensive experience as a Robotics and Coding Instructor allows her to bring a unique, structured perspective to our White Rose Maths Curriculum making complex foundational concepts accessible and engaging for young learners.

Meet Ms. Gwen Dahlberg: Experienced Upper Primary English Specialist

Ms. Gwen is a highly skilled and versatile educator with seven years of classroom experience and a lifetime of cross-cultural expertise. As an upper primary specialist, she excels at guiding students through the pivotal transition years of Year 5 and Year 6, combining academic rigor with a deep commitment to student wellbeing and confidence.
Dedicated to Diverse Learners
Ms. Gwen is a specialist in supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) students. She is highly experienced in designing differentiated lesson plans for Year 5 and 6 children. She is passionate about literacy intervention, ensuring that every student—regardless of their linguistic background—develops the fluency and comprehension needed to thrive in an international environment.
